All music genres will be considered, but there is no guarantee of airplay. Each submission is reviewed individually and tracks are selected for possible airplay. Because of the large volume of submissions that we receive on a daily basis, it is impossible for us to notify artists if their music has been selected or to return materials. Keep listening to your favorite channel to find out if your music was chosen for airplay. By submitting your music to Music Choice, you grant all rights to broadcast and perform your music.

Q. Can I request a song?
A. At this time Music Choice does not take song requests.

Q. Can I get a playlist?
A. Music Choice is unable to offer a playlist. The Digital Performance Right in Sound Recordings Act of 1995 passed by Congress prevents us from disclosing such information. The Digital Law states that if one is transmitting a digital signal, song information cannot be pre-announced.

Q. How do I let you know that the information on the screen is incorrect?

Q. How do I access Music Choice On Demand?
A. To access Music Choice On Demand, simply go to your cable provider’s On Demand menu and select Music Choice under "music." Choose between hundreds of genre-specific videos or Originals such as Artist of the Month, Tha Corner, Rock Show or Fresh Crops.

Q. Which music videos are included in Music Choice On Demand?
A. Hit List, Rock, R&B and Hip-Hop, Country, Classics, Latin, Kid Zone and many more videos are available to watch free of charge! These videos are always updated so check it often.

Q. What are Originals?

Videos - Music videos are found in this section. Videos are organized by genre. Once a genre has been selected videos can be browsed by sub-genre or artist name.

Originals – Original shows produced by Music Choice are listed in this section, such as Artist of the Month, Tha Corner, Fresh Crops, Rock Show and Extras. Content is separated by show title.

Channels – 14 video channels and 52 audio channels are listed in this section and are separated by genre. See page 6 for a complete listing of channels and channel descriptions.

Q. What are Originals?

A. MC News is a daily news feature that gives you the inside scoop on the latest happenings in the world of music, including top headlines, major releases, gossip about your favorite artists, and coverage of essential events and awards shows.

Q. How do I search for an artist, video, or Original?

A. Click on the word that reflects the content you are looking for and the list of available content will appear in a box on the right of the screen.

Q. How do I play a video listed in the video thumbnails at the bottom of the page?
A. Simply place your cursor over the video image and single click the image to play.

Q. How do I play a video listed in a list box (on the right side of the screen)?
A. Click the name of the video you would like to play.

Q. How do I play a channel?
A. In the Channels section, click the (Play) button to the left of the video or music channel name.

Q. Can I make the video larger?
A. Yes. When a video is playing, click the “Maximize” button next to the video. Click the “Minimize” button at the bottom of the larger view to change back to the normal video size.

►My Music Choice: General Information

Q. What is My MUSIC CHOICE
A. My MUSIC CHOICE is a section where you can create and manage your video playlists, create your own video channels, and access your favorite video and music channel lists.

Q. How do I access the My MUSIC CHOICE section?
A. Click the My MUSIC CHOICE tab on the right side of the Music Choice page. The tab will expand and cover the right side of the page.

►My Music Choice: Creating A Channel

Q. Why can't I create or find my custom music (audio) channels?

A. Music Choice has experienced a strong demand for customized music video channels and video playlists, and therefore is focusing its efforts on offering customized video-related features exclusively.

Q. How many channels can I create and save?
A. You can have an almost unlimited number of video channels saved at one time.

Q. How many types of music can I include in each channel that I create?
A. You can include a minimum of one (1) and a maximum of three (3) types of music for each video channel you create. You will then be able to select sub-genres for each type of music that you select.

Q. How do I create a channel?

STEP 1: Select the My MUSIC CHOICE tab on the right side of the Music Choice page.

STEP 2: Select the “My Channels” tab at the top of the page.

STEP 3: Select “Channel Creator”
STEP 4: Select CREATE VIDEO CHANNEL on the right side of the screen.
STEP 5: Select a minimum of one (1) and a maximum of three (3) genres to include in your channel. Click “Next”.
STEP 6: This is an optional step. Click the genre names on the left to display the list of sub-genres on the right. Select a minimum of one music sub-category for each type of music. "All" is automatically selected when this screen is first displayed, so you may skip this step by clicking “Next”.
STEP 7: This is an optional step. Move the slider bar for each type of music to play less or more of selected type of music, and then enter a name for your channel. Click “Next” to save your channel. Your channel will appear in the channel list on the left side of the MY CHANNELS tab in the My MUSIC CHOICE section.

Q. Do I have to go through every step of the channel creation process?
A. No. Simply click “Next” on the SELECT THE SUBGENRES and SET THE MIX AND NAME YOUR CHANNEL pages. The default selections will be saved and you will move to the next step.

Q. Now that I have created one or more My MC channels, how do I access my channels?
A. The channels you have created are displayed on the left side of the My Channels tab in the My MUSIC CHOICE section.

Q. How do I play one of the channels I created?
A. Click the channel name to select the channel then click the PLAY button on the lower right.

Q. How do I stop playing a My MC channel?
A. Click the Stop button on the left side of the screen.

Q. Can I select individual videos to be played on the channels I have created?
A. No. You cannot select individual videos for the channels you created. You can create a video playlist by clicking on the My Playlists tab at the top of the My MUSIC CHOICE section.

Q. How do I modify a channel that I created?
A. Highlight the channel name on the left side of the My MUSIC CHOICE section and then click the MODIFY button on the right.

Q. How do I delete a channel that I created?
A. Highlight the channel you want to delete and drag it to the trashcan.

►My Music Choice: My Favorites

Q. What is My Favorites?
A. My Favorites is the place you can find all of the videos, Originals and channels that you’ve marked as a “favorite”. Your Favorites lists can be found in the My Playlists and My Channels tabs of the My MUSIC CHOICE section.

Q. How do I add a video or channel to my Favorites list?
A. Simply click the (Add To Favorites) button next to a video or channel and it will be added to your Favorites list.

Q. How do I manage the My Favorites lists?
A. For videos, click the My Playlists tab in the My MUSIC CHOICE section, then click Favorites. The list of videos will be displayed on the right.

►My Music Choice: My Playlists

Q. How do I create a playlist?
A. Click the “My Playlists” tab in the My MUSIC CHOICE section then select “Create new”. Enter a name for your playlist, and the newly added playlist will appear at the bottom of the list.

Q. How do I play a playlist?
A. Click the playlist name to select the playlist then click the PLAY button on the lower right.

Q. How do I rename a playlist?
A. Click the playlist name to select the playlist then click the RENAME button on the lower right. A naming box will open. Enter the new name for the playlist and click OK.

Q. How do I delete a playlist?
A. Simply drag and drop the playlist you want to delete to the trashcan.

Q. How do I add videos to a playlist?
A. Simply drag and drop videos from your Favorites list and other playlists into the desired playlist.

Q. How do I change the order of the videos in a playlist?
A. Simply drag and drop the videos to the desired spot within the playlist.

Q. How do I delete videos from a playlist?
A. Simply drag and drop the video you want to delete to the trashcan.

Q. Are the Music Choice channel streamed in mono or stereo on my Sprint PCS phone?

A. If you have a Sprint EV-DO (Evolution-Data Optimized) phone and are in a Sprint EV-DO coverage area, the Music Choice channels will be streamed in stereo. Otherwise, the channels are streamed in mono.

A. Choice Cuts are interview bites from stars of pop, rock, and urban music.

Q. Why is there no artist image displayed for certain artists?
A. Generally, if there are no images being displayed for a particular artist we were unable to locate a usable image of the artist. This is more common on channels that do not play current music. Deceased and living artists that have not released a single or album in the recent past or are not actively promoting their music also may not have photos displayed when their music is playing due to our inability to locate a usable artist image.

Q. What is the music information on the screen?
A. The items include a rotation of information about the artist and music associated with the channel.

Q. Where is the music information on the screen coming from?
A. Music Choice has an editorial staff that creates the music information.

Q. Why is there an advertisement on the screen?
A. The panel on the screen enables us to advertise without any audio interruptions and contains information about programming and consumer promotions that we offer.

Q. How come the music information on the screen doesn't always match with the artist whose song is being played?
A. In addition to providing information on the artists and songs that are currently being played, we also provide the facts and information that are related to the music being played on a channel.

Q. Why do the images change position at the beginning of each song through my digital cable service?
A. Music Choice displays text and graphics, including artist facts and trivia, to accompany your favorite music. In response to concerns regarding potential TV screen burn-in while watching Music Choice® on your television, we have implemented a graphic rotation plan in which the logo, channel name and other screen images rotate through multiple positions as the screen changes. Please note that burn-in may result from numerous variables, such as leaving static images on screen for extended periods of time at high brightness/contrast settings. Music Choice designed its service in accordance with guidelines it believes are generally more conservative than industry standards, such as using reduced color contrast and brightness settings for its graphics. While Music Choice has taken the above steps, television type and viewer usage pattern and practices will ultimately determine the chance of burn-in. Again, television manufacturers are the best resource regarding this issue.
